Annie Lennox visits Nelson Mandela’s prison home on her trip to South Africa. Drakenstein Correctional Centre is a low-security prison where Nelson Mandela served the final two years of his 27 year incarceration for his campaign against apartheid. He was released from there on the 11th February 1990. Annie Lennox has been involved with Nelson Mandela’s charity 46664 (Mandela’s prison number) since she sang at the 2003 World Aids Day concert.

“You just decide what your values are in life and what you are going to do, and then you feel like you count, and that makes life worth living. It makes my life meaningful.”
